Turnaround Time for Professional WordPress Migration Service
We guarantee a 48-hour turnaround time for completing and testing a Professional WordPress Migration to your account, starting from the date and time we send you a confirmatory email indicating the beginning of the migration process. The process commences once (1) you provide all the requested login information in the "Request For Credentials" (RFC) email, and (2) we verify access to the WordPress installation to be migrated.
This turnaround time depends on your active participation and prompt responses to our emails. We ask that you respond to our emails within 12 hours to fully benefit from our turnaround time guarantee. If you don't respond within 12 hours, the migration process will be "paused," and the quoted turnaround time no longer applies (although we will still strive to complete the process as quickly as possible).
Customer Data and Disk Usage
Storage on Microfidelity web servers is designed specifically for hosting websites and is not suitable as a backup or storage solution. Ensure the data we migrate meets these requirements, and remove all backup files before providing your credentials. While we filter some backup files if identified, not all may be excluded (moving the files up one or more directory levels on your current host usually helps identify and exclude them).
Microfidelity's policies on acceptable use and unlimited storage apply to any migrations to Microfidelity services.
Mobile Site
We can only guarantee the migration of the desktop version of your site. The mobile version usually continues to run, but if it doesn't, let us know, and we'll provide troubleshooting tips.
More Than WordPress?
This service covers only WordPress migrations, but we can migrate other types of files to Microfidelity, too. If you have other applications or special plans, contact Tech Support (email/live chat/callbacks/Twitter), and we can probably help!
Technical Requirements
We prefer your current WordPress site remains live until the migration process is complete. This allows accurate comparison between the old and new sites. If comparison isn't possible, we might miss or fail to address existing errors.
If your WordPress version is older than WP 3.7, it must be upgraded to at least that version at your old host for critical security updates.
If your site has HTTPS enabled, Microfidelity guarantees only getting the HTTP version running. After setup, we can guide you to enable HTTPS for your domain.
If you suspect your site is hacked, ensure all issues are resolved with your current host before migration. If we find hacked files during migration, we may pause the process and notify you, affecting your turnaround time.
We can't guarantee a 100% fully functional migration if you manually provide data or files instead of allowing us to utilize a live WordPress site.
The migration service covers only site contents. Any emails you want to keep must be handled separately by you. Do not change your email DNS to route emails to Microfidelity servers until the migration is complete and approved in writing. Contact Tech Support for more help.
Refund Policy
The one-time charge for WordPress migrations is refundable in specific situations. You're eligible for a refund if our team, due to internal delays, takes longer than the quoted period to complete the migration. We'll also refund the charge if you cancel before receiving the confirmatory email indicating the migration start.
However, you forfeit your right to a refund if:
- You fail to respond to our information requests and emails for more than 12 hours after the migration process starts.
- You interfere with or take over the migration process yourself.
- You request cancellation after receiving the confirmatory email indicating the migration start.
- A hacked site causes us to pause and clean up before proceeding.
No Guarantee
While we'll strive to do our best during the migration, perfect results aren't guaranteed. There may be minor issues with your WordPress site's content or structure, and we can't address every inconsistency from the move. This process is manually performed by our team, and we'll do our best to get things working for you.
Applicable Terms
All of Microfidelity's terms of service apply to you and your account after a migration.
Abandonment
If we don't hear back from you 7 days after an information request, we'll consider the migration "abandoned" and cancel it without processing a refund. We may archive your files for up to 30 days (starting from the original confirmatory email) to facilitate future reinstatement of the migration process, but this isn't guaranteed.
Cancellation
If you decide to cancel the migration process for any reason, please inform Tech Support to cancel the process and avoid interfering with your plans. Note that a refund isn't available if the process has already started (see Refund Policy above).
Notice
We reserve the right to modify or cancel these terms at any time. Please check this page often. Your continued use of this service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Free WordPress Migrations Using the Microfidelity Automated Migration Plugin
Free WordPress migrations are governed by separate terms and conditions shared during the free migration process.
Anti-Spam Policy

In recent years, the internet has experienced a surge in commercial activities. The breakdown of barriers between businesses and consumers has been enabled by the rapid advancement of technology, the elimination of intermediaries, and tax rates favorable to online entrepreneurship.
At Microfidelity, we proudly support responsible commerce on the internet, as demonstrated by our service offerings and exceptional support. However, the same environment that has encouraged this growth has also led to numerous cases of fraud and misuse of network resources.
One significant issue is "spam," which refers to the practice of sending unsolicited emails, instant messages, or other communications to a large group of people simultaneously. Variations include off-topic and usually promotional messages on bulletin boards, guestbooks, Usenet newsgroups, or chat rooms.
Spam is strictly prohibited by our Terms of Service and will result in the immediate termination, without refund, of any customer found to be using spam in connection with their Microfidelity account.
The following policy outlines the acceptable use of bulk email/messaging at Microfidelity:
Subscriptions
- Mailing list subscribers must explicitly opt into the list. This applies to both new subscriptions and the bulk addition of addresses already subscribed through other means. Confirmation is handled using a single confirmation email sent to the subscriber's address. This email must include a link to the site's privacy policy, a brief description of the mailing list, and a URL that the user must follow to confirm the subscription.
- Mailing list subscriber information must include the date and time the subscription was confirmed, as well as the IP address of the subscriber at the time of confirmation. Users must be able to present this information at Microfidelity's request.
- The nature of email address use must be fully disclosed, either on the subscription page or with a prominent link to the site's privacy policy. It must be made clear how a user's email address will be used and in what circumstances it will be shared.
- Lists cannot be procured from outside parties unless the email sender has obtained the list from an organization that sells or shares email distribution lists, and all of the following conditions are met:
- The selling organization maintains a publicly viewable privacy policy disclosing that such sales may occur.
- The privacy policy is prominently linked to the page where the subscriber signed up.
- The privacy policy has not changed substantially since the user signed up.
- Records are kept of the date, time, IP address, and form location where the subscribing user signed up.
- Users cannot populate lists with addresses obtained for a substantially different purpose than originally disclosed to the user.
- Lists procured from outside parties must have been consistently handled in a manner comparable to Microfidelity's policies.
- All subscriptions must be re-confirmed as described in Subscriptions (Section 1) before sending bulk email messages.
Mailing Practices
- Users must not modify the headers of any message in a way that obscures the origin of the message.
- Undeliverable addresses must be removed from all future mailings after no more than 5 bounces.
- Users are responsible for the practices of any affiliate program members they solicit, as if they were hiring an outside advertising agency.
- Users using outside advertising companies or third-party mailing programs must adhere to the same policies and practices as those using Microfidelity's own bulk mailing list tools.
- All mailings must provide clear and simple instructions for opting out of future mailings, and all reasonable attempts must be made to facilitate the removal of a mailing list subscriber upon request.
- Users acknowledge that Microfidelity's electronic mail service equipment is located in the UK. In no event shall the user use Microfidelity's equipment in violation of applicable UK laws.
Spamware
- Selling software designed specifically to facilitate spamming is strictly prohibited in connection with your Microfidelity account.
Other
- Predominantly promotional messages must not be posted to bulletin boards, discussion forums, guestbooks, Usenet newsgroups, or any similar service unless the operator of that service explicitly allows such messages. In the case of Usenet newsgroups, such messages must be specifically allowed in that group's charter.
Disablement
- Microfidelity reserves the right to disable any account at any time if there is a reasonable suspicion that it is being used in connection with spamming practices.
- The number of email addresses that can be created in connection with any account may be limited at Microfidelity's sole discretion, pending review and verification of compliance with all agreed-upon terms.
- Customers must substantially address all spam-related inquiries by Microfidelity personnel within 72 hours. Failure to respond within a reasonable period may result in the disablement of the user's account.
